How to Start Your Internet Business - Make Money From Affiliate Marketing

Are you trying to start your internet business but don't know what steps to take to get it going? Are you afraid of doing things the wrong way and wasting your money? Are you frustrated because of all the mis-information you're getting online and you don't know which way to turn?
Don't feel alone. Every day thousands of individuals just like you come online wanting to make a living on the internet only to end up frustrated or, worse yet, the victim of one of many online scams.
The good news is that there are people that are making a great income on the internet and with the right coaching there's no reason at all that you can't be doing the same thing. Here are a few different things that you can do to get started off the right way.
#1. You need to be prepared to spend a bit of money to get started with your business. Don't panic though, I'm not talking about spending thousands of dollars. You'll need a good domain name (under $10.00 USD per year) and you'll need a good hosting plan ($5-10.00 per month. Important: you'll want a hosting company that offers cpanel!). That's really all you'll need to get started.
#2. Start your own blog and start reviewing products there. This is not that hard to do. Simply visit Wordpress (Note: use wordpress.org, not wordpress.com for your blog. Wordpress.com does not allow affiliate links) and sign up.
#3. Install your blog. This looks a lot harder than it really is, but don't panic. Simply call up your customer service at your hosting company and they'll walk you through it. It's a piece of cake once you've done it a time or two. Just call them back if you ever get stuck.
#4. Set up categories for your blog around the topics you'll be reviewing. Example: Dog Collars, Dog Toys, Dog Training Books, Dog Beds, etc. Important: Keep your blog on one topic! If your blog is about dogs then don't put reviews about women's clothing, etc. It should only have one type of content!
#5. Review 10 products and write an article of at least 500 words about each one. These reviews MUST be honest! If you have a problem with a product then let your readers know. If you don't give honest reviews then you'll never earn their trust. At the bottom of each article end it with "Find out more about xyz product Right Now by visiting MerchantWebsite.com"
#6. Write 30 articles related to your topics and submit them to article directories. I realize that this seems like a lot of work, and it is, but once you get the traffic started it will become easier for you. Do 30 the first month and then 10 per month each month after. Also, build links to your blog from other related blogs and by using web 2.0 methods.
#7. Post to your blog on the SAME DAY each week! This will train the search engines to come to your blog on that day because they'll know there'll be new content there. Ideally, I'd post at least twice per week and distribute articles throughout each category. Add new categories as needed.
That's all you need to do to get started. There are no get rich quick schemes involved here. It will likely take 1-3 months before you start getting a really good amount of traffic to your blog, but I can almost guarantee you (I said almost. Make sure you choose a niche with products in demand!) that the traffic will come. Build it and they will come. Hmmm, where have I heard that before? Now that you know what you need to do, all you have to do is Get Started!
